It was 40 years ago that I first met Mary at my high school part time job at Dominion store. I had the pleasure to work as a cashier along side her. Mary was such a hard worker both at work and at home. I spent many hours both at work and visiting her in her apartment on Paris St. Mary loved her family very much and never forgot her family in the old country. She was always thinking how to spoil her grand children here but was also always sending "stuff" to the old country. Mary was an excellent cook and she always shared her gift of cooking with everyone. I especially remember how she made my mother on her death bed home made doughnuts. That was the kind of unselfish woman she was. It was not until recently after many years that I met up with Mary at the Walford residience. We hugged shed some happy tears and promised to get together. This was in February . I am so sad firstly that we never got together and secondly that I only learned of her passing today. I want the family to know that their mother, grandmother was a very honorable and loving person. Mary made my life richer for her friendship. May God bless her as she has gone home to be with our Father.
