Mrs. Poryckjy was a wonderful human being who always had a smile and a warm and friendly touch. My first memory of her was back in the mid 50s when our family drove to Sudbury to visit. Mrs.Poryckjy was working in restaurant at the time so we all went for breakfast.I had never before eaten pancakes.I remember her carrying out a huge plate smothered in maple syrup. My brother Wally and I made them disappear in what seemed like seconds. We were thrilled when Mrs. Poryckjy asked if we would like more.I think we ended up eating 4 plates. Our satisfied smiles were equally matched by Mrs.Poryckjys.When I now have pancakes for breakfast I always have them with maple syrup. It reminds me fondly of Mrs. Poryckjys smile and a simpler time when little pleasures made a difference to 2 little boys. Rest in Peace Mrs.Poryckjy You will live forever in our hearts.Cousin Borys and Patricia
