Welcoming and kind

Carole was all welcoming kindness when I moved back to McFarlane Lake in grade 4 and knew nobody but my cousins. She made me feel like I belonged. Hers was always the smiling face in the crowd whether it was at elementary school, riding the bus to a big secondary school full of strangers, at a bonfire or getting up to St Paddys Day shenanigans with la gang of middle-aged ladies from Pickle Valley. Rest In Peace old friend. Ill miss your smiling face and gentle presence at all the gatherings.
