In loving memory of Evelyn Shaw (nee Steele) who passed away Saturday, July 29th, 2017 at the age of 90 in Toronto. Beloved wife of Stuart Shaw predeceased. Loving mother of Stephanie Bench (David) of Espanola. Cherished grandmother Jason of Kirkland Lake and great grandmother of Brooke and Caleb. Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Ethel Steele and siblings Ruth, Gwendolyn and Ernest. Will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Evelyn had a great passion for books working in a bookstore in Toronto for many years and a deep love for animals always taking in strays. Having an avid green thumb, her gardens were well known in her Toronto neighbourhood. Evelyn was a strong woman who stayed positive through the many difficulties in her life.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 9th, 2017 in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury at 7pm. Friends may call after 6pm Wednesday.
