In Loving Memory
of
Gina Tosato (nee Antoniazzi)
91 years
Peacefully Saturday, December 3rd, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Complex, Sudbury, with her family by her side.
Beloved wife of Ontario (Butch) Tosato (predeceased) and incredibly loving mother of Robert (friend Monique Rehel), Laura (Wayne Lepage), Susan (Ron Scott) and baby Steven, predeceased. Cherished Nonnie to Amy (Chris), Greg (Carrie-Anne), David (Aila), Shawn (Julie), Stephanie (Dave), Krystina (Jon) and step granddaughter Nicole Desmarais. Her life was lit up by 8 beautiful great grandchildren. Loving daughter of Marco and Jenny Antoniazzi (predeceased) and predeceased by her sister Terry Fera and brother Lino Antoniazzi. Loved by sisters-in-law Mary Antoniazzi, Mary Giacomin, and Sr. Stephanie Tosato c.s.j. She will be greatly missed by her extended family and many friends.
Gina raised her family in New Sudbury and was an active, founding member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church, where she phoned new church members to welcome them, served for many years as a CWL Member and was on the executive as social convener and corresponding secretary, convened numerous teas and special anniversary celebrations. If anyone needed anything Gina knew who to call and got results. Gina lived the Gospel message in the community. Her home was a depot as she collected clothes for the needy and was recently awarded a life membership for the John Howard Society.
She was funny, loved to travel, enjoyed watching curling and cheered every year from for her Toronto Blue Jays. She was a great bowler and loved playing bridge. Her butter tarts and cream puffs were second to none and making passatelli at her house every Christmas will remain a special tradition for her family. The family wishes to thank Dr. MacCallum, Dr. Bansal, the nurses and staff at St. Joseph's Continuing Care Facility and the personal support angels at the Red Cross Society. In lieu of flowers, Gina has requested that donations be made to the St. Andrew the Apostle Memorial Fund or the St. Joseph's Continuing Care Facility.
