In Loving Memory of Mariannina “Maria” Turco (nee Mauro) 85 years, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 16th, 2016 at Health Sciences North.
Maria was born in Grimaldi, Cosenza, Italy.
Beloved wife of Ettore Turco, predeceased 1995. Loving mother of Rosa Carosi (Agostino) of Sudbury, Assunta Coluzzi (Antonio) of Sudbury, Peter Turco of Quesnel, B.C., Angela Vicedomini (Pasquale) of Sudbury and Tony Turco (Eileen Halley) of Ottawa.
Cherished nanna of Adam Carosi (Jenny), Stephen Carosi (Jennifer), Amanda Paquette (Jason), Rosa Maria Scheel (Jamie), John Coluzzi (Kim), Cristina Astins (Dale), Domenico Vicedomini and Marco Vicedomini (fiancée Megan St.Onge). Great grandmother of Alexander, Andrew and Giulia Scheel, Jacob Carosi, Bianca and Ivana Coluzzi and Max Astins. Loving daughter of Giovanni and Assunta Mauro both predeceased.
Dear sister of Elina Iachetta (Orlando predeceased), Vittoria Iachetta (Fernando predeceased),Emilia Francella (Luigi) both predeceased of Italy, Norina Marrello (Emilio), Anna Ruberto (Frank), Franca Costantino (Antonio), Lina Colistro (Francesco) and Alba Filice (Mario) predeceased, Pasquale Mauro predeceased (Rose),all of Thunder Bay. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family in Italy, Toronto, Thunder Bay, Sudbury and BC.
She enjoyed knitting, which she shared with many, spending time in her garden and loved going to camp. Maria was happiest when surrounded by her loving family.
