Click here to view all obituariesI only had the opportunity to know Ron for a short time back in 1992-93 when he was touring with the Phantom of The Opera in Canada. I was his wardrobe dresser in Calgary and Ron and I along with another cast member, Todd Redmond, became fast friends during their Calgary stay. In fact Todd , Ron and I spent a day building a cedar fence at my mother's house and Ron also used my wood shop to build himself a beautiful mahogany box to house his collection of stamps.
During a hiatis from Phantom, Ron and I met in Vancouver at Todd's house to help Todd build a wonderful cedar deck on the back of his house. It still gets lots of use today.
I was honored to call Ron a friend and admired his gentleness and kindness.
I have not spoken to Ron since those days as we lost touch and I am very sad to hear of his passing. I'm sure he was a joy to his friends and family and I know that he has moved on to is next existance and we will meet again.
