CURRY, Michael Johnston

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mike Curry at Maison McCulloch Hospice. On Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the young age of 71.

Loving son of the late Iris (Terry) and George Curry. Beloved husband of 50 amazing years to Janet (nee Sim), and cherished father of Kari-Lynn (Kent McInall), Jennifer (Todd Jahnke), and Cindy (Jeff Acaster). Dear brother of Don, brother-in-law to Sheila (Brian Donaldson) and Margaret (Rick Major) and son-in-law of Lois and the late George Sim. Unforgettable grandfather of Zachary, Bret, Lauren, Kaitlyn, Gillian, Logan, Olivia, and Eryn and Logan. Lovingly remembered by niece Alexandra, nephews Robert and Jeff, and his extended family and friends.

After 40+ years with Harris Movers, Mike dedicated his retirement to perfecting his golf game during his summers at Providence Bay Tent and Trailer Park. He loved to travel, was a passionate hockey fan and card player and was happiest when he was eating (especially sweets), telling a joke or making up an unbelievable story surrounded by his family and friends. He will be missed by all.

Special thanks to all of the staff at the Maison McCulloch Hospice. The committal service will be held at the Civic Memorial Cemetery on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 1:30 pm, a celebration of life will follow from 2:00-4:00 at M.I.C. Restaurant, all are welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Maison McCulloch Hospice. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
