To Karen's family, Most sincere condolences to all of you for the incredible loss you must be feeling; I merely knew Karen as a mentor and am heartbroken by her passing, so I imagine having the gift of her warm and loving daily presence now cease, is devastating. Karen was incredibly inspirational and encouraging to so many students, leaving an impact on the social work community through those of us who were taught by her. She offered guidance in balancing parenthood and student life by sharing stories of her experiences and expressing the insurmountable pride she had in her daughters and family. So thank you, for sharing her with world. May time ease your pain, but never diminish her legacy.
