Joanne “Jo” Watson, 59 years old

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces her peaceful passing at Health Sciences North on Thursday, August 9th, 2018 with her husband by her side. Beloved wife to Peter, married 31 years. Loving and proud mother to Brock (Sylvie), Stacey (Brian), and Dylan. Cherished Grandmother (Babcia) to Brayden and Demitri. Dear daughter of Jan and Czeslawa Malik, and daughter-in-law of Thomas and Phyllis Watson, all predeceased. Sister to Ben (predeceased) (Rhea), Johnny (Lorraine), Sabina (Darren), Mary (Gary), and Elizabeth (Gerry). Sister-in-law to Grace (Mel), Paul (Gail), Doug (Sharon) and Janet. She will be sadly missed my many nieces, nephews, friends and all of her pets.

Jo had the biggest heart and devoted her life to her family and friends. Nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by the ones she loved the most. She was a hardworking woman with a passion for educating children and was dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those with disabilities. She will be remembered as the rock in their family and a courageous woman who always put the needs of others above her own. Her love and memory will live on in each of the lives she touched, until we meet again.
