Rocco Bumbaca died peacefully at Health Sciences North on July 4th, 2018 in Sudbury, Ontario at the age of 88.

Rocco is survived by his wife Silva; his children Fortunato, Anna and her husband Roland, Giuseppina and her husband Robin; his grandchildren Juliana and her husband Alexander, Vincent, Trent and Mitchell; his siblings Teresa and her husband Antonio and Assunta, as well as their children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Giuseppa and Fortunato Bumbaca; and his sister Maria and her husband Giuseppe and his brother in law Bruno. Rocco was born on October 16th, 1929 in Locri, Calabria, Italy to Giuseppa and Fortunato Bumbaca. He married Silva Piconeri, July 7th, 1957. He immigrated to Canada in 1959. He was part of the Calabria Social Club and Società Caruso, he worked at Star Bottling and the Caruso Club. Rocco was a dedicated father and grandfather who valued spending time with his family. He enjoyed spending time with loved ones and was always there to help family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
