Condolences

Condolence From: Kyle Deegan
Condolence: I remember Msgr. John Caswell when he said mass at either Saint Patrick's or Our Lady of Hope in Sudbury, when the pastor was unable to preside at mass. Msgr. Caswell gave vibrant, meaningful homilies that spoke to me and my family. He showed a tremendous love for God, people and the Catholic Faith.

Condolence: God speed and God bless John. I knew you forever from you and Harvey and Dennis being like the 3 amigos in my early childhood to serving you when I was a 'good' little alter boy at the Cathedral to working with you for the CYO at the Cathedral in the late 60's.

Condolence From: Lorraine (Lori) Sunday Town of Blue Mountain
Condolence: Caswell Family: My sincerest sympathy! In 2006 my family had a 90th Birthday Party for my dad, Al,@ The Caruso Club. Msgr. Caswell, Father Farrell, & Chrissie Nemis added sparkle with their anecdotal notes, but Msgr. Caswell had all of us in stitches! My dad died in 2011 2days after his 95th B/D Msgr. Caswell was on the phone frequently giving me warm, sincere chats about life & death-- just like an uncle! His kind demeanor I will cherish, his captivating smile with a twinkle in his eye I will miss!!You were very fortunate to have this strong man in your family-- so may happy memories sustain you!!

Condolence From: Nickie Levesque
Condolence: Remembering John with many happy memories.....especially his days at St. Mary's Academy in North Bay, which Bishop Carter nick-named Caswell Hall. He was devoted to making the best back yard winter rink in North Bay at the Academy so that the boarders could skate He flooded that rink nightly and kept it free of snow. Wonderful days with him during the 1960's. His ministry to so many will be missed.

Condolence: I was so sorry to learn of Msgr. Caswell's death. My late wife had introduced me to him in 1963. They grew up in North Bay and were very involved in youth activities at the church.Sylvia thought the world of him. It was always a pleasure to meet with him and to have lengthy chats about sports and current affairs. Msgr. was a true priest, role model and person. He made a lasting impression on so many. I send my thoughts and prayers

Condolence: To be part of the Mass for Shut-ins for some 25 years with Msgr John was very special. Msgr. John was a very humble and generous priest, an excellent homilist, who worked untiringly for the shut-ins of our diocese.
Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
Please accept our prayers and thoughts for this wonderful priest.
