Linda Sandra Lavigueur (nee McCormick)
February 27, 1951 to May 8, 2018

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Linda Lavigueur on Tuesday May 8, 2018 at home on Ironside Lake.

Linda was married for 49 years to her beloved husband Paul Lavigueur. Cherished mother of Dawn (Mark Tocholke), and Greg (Theresa Bohan). Linda was a loving grandmother to Amanda, Meghan, Kendall, Julia and Benson. Dear daughter of William and Gladys McCormick (both predeceased). Treasured sister of Kathy McKerral (predeceased) and husband Ernie McKerral, Doug McCormick (predeceased), and Joyce Larabie.
Linda was born in 1951 in Haileybury, ON, and moved to Markstay, ON as a young child. Linda worked at Sears for many years as a sales associate. Linda was known for her infectious laugh which could be heard as far as the food court while she worked the top floor at Sears! Linda was a long time member of the Campers Association at Ironside Lake and an avid volunteer with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Capreol Legion Branch 179. Linda enjoyed a lifetime of camping, gardening, fishing and making many new friends along the way. Linda loved birds and flowers and chose to spend her retirement years nestled on the shore of Ironside Lake with her husband Paul. Linda lovingly hosted her grandchildren at the family camp which to their delight meant an endless supply of candy and poutine! Linda easily made friends with her outgoing nature and ability to make anyone feel at home. Linda will be fondly remembered by family, friends and her furry companions Bo, Baby and Minnow.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Minnow Lake Legion Branch 76 on Weller Street on Saturday, May 26 anytime from 1-4pm to celebrate Linda’s life.
Interment will be in the family plot at a later date at the Park Lawn Cemetery.
