In Loving Memory of
Eugene Joseph “Gene” Liciotti
83 years
Sunday, May 6th, 2018 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury.

Beloved husband of Lidia Liciotti (née Orazietti). Loving father of Marisa Cheslock (David). Cherished Nono of Mikaela and Manuela Cheslock. Dear son of Joseph and Giuseppina Liciotti both predeceased. Predeceased by his sisters Elsie Villeneuve (Wilfred) and Theresa Verboncoeur and survived by Irene Jefferson, Dorie Cuerrier (Bill), and Yvonne Briden. He will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews, his dear friend Bob Quinlan, and by the Shepherd, Pegoraro, Galardo, Magill, and Canapini families, and our friends and fellow parishioners at Our Lady of Hope.

Gene was born in Chapleau and married Lidia in 1972. He worked for 30 years at INCO, working at Creighton, Frood, and Stobie Mines. He retired in 1984. An electrician by trade, he often fixed people’s stoves, rewired their houses, and helped everyone he could. A devout Roman Catholic, Gene attended Our Lady of Hope Parish. He volunteered as Eucharistic Minister and was Father Larry’s right-hand man. He would often be found reciting the rosary before morning Mass and regularly attended the Adoration Chapel at Our Lady of Hope. He had a strong devotion to the Virgin Mary. Gene was the strongest, kindest man with a very big heart.

Entombment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum.
