O’REILLY, Owen Joseph

We were blessed to share our husband, father and grandfather for nearly 90 years, and it is with heavy hearts and much sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Owen O’Reilly (June 24, 1928 - April 3, 2018), surrounded by his family.
Beloved husband of Anne for 60 years, dear father of Chris (Maureen), Michael (Kelly) and Donna (Joe). Cherished Poppa to Brittaney (Pokey), Curtis (Smiley), Collin (Beep), Justin (Chunk), Cailin (C) and Declan (Dec). Brother of Charlie, Ann and Helen, all predeceased.
Owen worked for 42 years at INCO as a machinist and retired in 1988. Owen filled his retirement years picking blueberries and going to his camp on Manitoulin Island during the summer months, and skating and skiing during the winter. Owen’s favorite moments were when he spent time with his family and his passion for woodworking, that his family will hold dear for many years to come.
We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude and appreciation to all the staff at Extendicare York, and especially to those who cared for Owen on the 5th floor.

Friday, April 6th, 2018 at 11am.
Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
(Visitors are welcome to join the family for a brief visitation after 10am Friday).
