We send our condolences to Nellie and family for their loss of Jim a definite icon in our neck of the woods. My family knew Jim's family from their first arrival to this country. I use to accompany my Dad Bill Salo as a child to bring lumber to be cut by Pete Langdon and marvelled at the whole process. One day I saw Jim at the grocery store and I asked him if he would sell me his mill. He said, Sure Ken I will sell you my mill." Jim came over a few times to help me set it up and get it going. He made a childhood dream materialize for me. I have always admired his vigor and wisdom. I will miss our many chats reminiscing about the early life in our neighbourhood and the stories of our families living the simple life. You will be missed Jim! Ken and Lucille Salo
