of
James “Jim” Langdon
88 years
Passed away peacefully Monday, February 5th, 2018
at Health Sciences North
Beloved husband and best friend of 66 years to Nellie Langdon (nee Couchie). Devoted and much loved Papa of Norma Woodcox (Jim predeceased), Douglas (predeceased), Michael (Ann) and Lori Doniec (Rick Brousseau). Loving Papa to his cherished grandchildren Kimberley, (Ryan), Jonathan, Jason (Shelby) and Carly (Nathan) & his great grandchildren Emma, McKenna, Kyle, Logan, Xavier and Avery. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Pearl Langdon (nee Johnson). Survived by his siblings Mary Frantila (Willard predeceased), Reta Gordon (Jack predeceased) and Robert Langdon (Mary predeceased). He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the Couchie Family.
Jim worked as a miner at INCO for 35 years, retiring in 1986. He and his wife Nellie owned and operated “Langdon’s Landing” at Little Fairbanks Lake since 1982. He was a longtime member, alter server and member of the men’s club at St. Christopher’s Parish in Whitefish. He enjoyed woodworking and over the years built anything from houses to furniture. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jim was happiest when he was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who brought him so much joy and always put a smile on his face.
The family would like to thank the staff, nurses and doctors at Health Sciences North, especially Dr. Singh and the nursing staff of the 8th floor North Tower for their excellent care and compassion.
