Dear Ajai, Navreet, family and friends, The thoughts and prayers of my siblings and myself are with you. We feel sorrow with Vijaya's untimely passing and we rejoice that she lived to see her beautiful beloved grandchildren. We hold happy memories of our times with Vijaya and remember with appreciation and delight her warmth, interest and care for those around her and her gifts including cooking with love and singing and performing traditional dance. We appreciate her deep commitment to community and family, locally and globally. Her quiet, determined approach to any life challenge has been a source of inspiration. Truly she has been one of those 'mothers of the nation'.
