It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Dan Chaput on September 19th, 2017 at the age of 53. Dan is survived by his loving wife Angele Seguin (Dionne) and his cherished daughter Abbigail and stepsons Fern Seguin (Carrie) and Richard Seguin (Jeanne). Dear son-in-law of Lucille and Jacques Dionne. Loving son of Genevieve (Walsh) Chaput and Gerald Chaput (predeceased 2003). Also survived by brothers John, Gerry (Anna) Stephen (Carole), Richard (Nicole) and predeceased by his sister Michelle in 2010. Uncle to Rob, Joel, Nicholas, Nathalie, Isabelle, Samantha, Scott, Bradley, Alysha, Dominick, and predeceased by John William (2008) and Andrew (2011). All who knew Dan always appreciated his great cooking and he could serve up a dish that could please any palate. To have a meal in Dan’s kitchen was to experience a true culinary event. Dan was also a skilled tradesman who created many leisure projects that were a treat for the eyesight and enjoyed by all.

In keeping with Dan’s wishes, a celebration of his life will be held in the Lougheed Funeral Home, Hanmer/Capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Drive, Hanmer on Tuesday, September 26th, 2017 from 2-4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
