Beloved husband of Sheila James. Loving father of Gillian Giroux (Nathan Byne), Kathryn Giroux (Austin Weaver) and Joshua Giroux and to his fur babies Faelan, Lincoln predeceased and Windsor predeceased. Cherished son of Ronald predeceased and Carol James of Cambridge. Dear son in law of Angus and Patricia MacDonald of Providence Bay and brother in law of Neil and Jennifer MacDonald, Jakob and Owen of Lively and Alison and Steve Orford, Eric, Sean and Laura of Providence Bay. Dear brother of Sherri Lynne Gaetz (wife Lanette) and uncle to Mckenzie predeceased, Addison and Keira of Windsor. Special friend of Marcus and Susi Kallweit, Franziska and Christopher of Kitchener and Marc and Lily Bouvet and Sophie (god-daughter) of Newmarket. Matthew loved cooking and entertaining, he always had an open house to everyone and enjoyed travelling the Caribbean Countries.

Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
