Passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family
on Monday, July 10th, 2017
Beloved husband of 51 years to Diane (nee Lamontagne). Loving father of Wayne (Josée), Steven (Barbara) and predeceased by his daughter Debbie Bailey. Cherished Pépère and Grampa of Keith, Sara (Matt), Katherine, Renelle, Camille and Zackary (predeceased) & Great Grampa of Rhyett, Nyrah and Roman. Predeceased by his parents Oliver & Lucienne Lafond (nee Jodouin), his birth mother Florence and his siblings; René, Claudette Boucher (Jacques also predeceased) and Aurel. Survived by his siblings; Thérèse Bigras (Gilles predeceased), Edward (Gertrude), Rollande McDonald (Sheldon), Gérald (Claudette), Richard (Linda), Olive Audet (Albert predeceased), Rachel Danis (Gaétan), Lise Alain (Roger), Denis (Lorraine), Rhéal (Anne), Pauline Betty ( Gaston) and Linda Desormiers (Robert) and his sister-in-law Yvonne Lafond. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Yvon was a jack of all trades. He worked as a carpenter his whole life, and built many things from cabinets to trailers. He was a hard worker who was always willing to help his friends and family. He enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, going fishing and was a WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) fanatic. Yvon was happiest when he was spending time with his family and grandkids.

The family would like to thank, Dr. Candace Walton, the staff & nurses at CCAC and the PSW’s from the Care Partners for their excellent care and compassion.

(Friends may gather after 10:30 a.m. on Saturday)
Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium with burial in the family plot in Cache Bay at a later date.

Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, NEO Kids (Sudbury Children’s Hospital) of the Sudbury Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
