Boleslaw (Bolek, Bill) Korzeniecki
1921 – 2017

In loving memory of Boleslaw (Boleck, Bill) Korzeniecki who passed away June 17th, 2017 at Extendicare York at the age of 95.

Beloved husband of the late Helena Korzeniecki (September 29, 2015).
Loving father of Ted (Terri) of Sudbury and George (Barb) of Orillia. Cherished “Dziadzia” (Grandfather) of Paul (Debbie), Tracy (Brad Croome), Mandy (Chas McKie) and Cory (Brittany) and Great Grandfather of Krista, Jenna, Emmett, Jonathan, Anna and Emma. Dear brother of Marianna Blonski (late Stan) of Niagara Falls and predeceased by brothers Joseph and Tadeusz. Predeceased by parents Jan and Michalina. Missed by his nephews and nieces in Canada and Poland.

During World War II, he was a soldier with the Polish Army, 3rd Infantry Division. After the war, he eventually made his way to Sudbury where he met Helena and raised his family. He was employed by Inco for 37 years. Family and friends will always remember the hospitality provided by Bolek and Helena at their cottage on Long Lake which eventually became their home.

A proud World War II veteran, he was an active member of the Sudbury Branch of the Polish Combatants, SPK, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion as well as St. Casimir’s Church.

Family would like to thank the very caring staff of the 4th Floor, Extendicare York.

Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, Funeral mass at St. Casimir’s Church 210 Paris Street, Sudbury on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 10 am

Interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery.
