Condolence: condolences to the Derro Family. Paul and i attended Elementary School together St Michaels Separate school. Summers we spent at Second Beach and Diving Boards in Bell Park. i met him again over 40 years later at a Tommy Fyfe Whiskey River Gig in Copper Cliff. what a guy. friendly. generous. funny. just an over all good man. made it feel like our friendship never went away after all those years. i am so very happy we met again. reminded me of great times and a great friendship from childhood. meeting him again made everything better. sorry he is gone. such a great loss.

Condolence: Please pardon the long delay. It was a chance remark by Bob who mentioned Paul’s passing. We were neighbours on Bowland in Sudbury. I remember Paul being a mediator when the kids on the street got too active. My exodus from Sudbury began long ago when I started at boarding school. I saw him as an Usher at the City Centre Cinemas, and he was working at INCO when I worked there for a short time; he was in the Communications Department? As is common for the children from the street, we all went our own ways, but every time I visited my Mum when I passed 300 B I remembered the Derro family. Fare thee well Paul, great to see you touched so many people in a wonderful way.

We first met Paul during the Sudbury Fringe Festival and I was lucky enough to perform in all of the Mike Mulvihill productions with Paul. He stood out in all the shows but I will never forget his hilarious rendition of Broomhilda in the play "It's Them or Us". Paul had the audience and cast in stitches with his portrayal. His gift of comedic timing and total immersion in the character was a joy to watch. We are so glad to have had the opportunity to meet with such a wonderful person. He will be missed.

Condolence: A great man is in our midst. Paul will always remain with us, all you have to do is close yoyur eyes and listen and you will hear Paul's infectious laugh or perhaps one of his quips so full of wisdom. Thank You Lord for such a kind, thoughtful and fun person who always took the high road.

Condolence: I met Paul a few times while in Sudbury with my father. He shared some stories of my dad and him when they were growing up and had me and my brother in stitches. Unfortunately it always seems that those who are able to light up a room from the moment they walk in are the ones taken too soon.
