I wish to extend my most sincere sympathies to the Forbom family on the passing of Eileen. I will never forget her kindness in offering me my first job in radio as an operator. I treasure the memories of working with all the staff at the station. She certainly knew the business. She was firm when she needed to be but was fair and patient. I recall an event in which I editorialized the CBC on coming in late (seems so insignificant now) on the Fault Report. Very diplomatically, she stated that several departments get a copy of the report and it would be a good idea to just list the facts! Thank you Eileen for your kindness and belief in me. To Paul, Jim and Mr. Forbom, I hope you will find comfort in family and also in knowing how many lives she touched, not only in broadcasting but also in the community at large. She was indeed a busy lady. Even though now many years later, she will be missed and thought of by so many. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
