Lavoie, Marie “Rose” May (Deguire)
It is with deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Rose Lavoie on Monday, June 24th, 2013 at the age of 68 years at her residence.
Daughter to the late Wilfrid Deguire and Blanche (Cardinal) both predeceased. Beloved wife of the late Earl Lavoie predeceased 2000. Devoted mother to Lorraine (Steve Belanger) and Marc (Stacy Lavoie). Cherished grandmother of Malcolm, Meagan, Miranda, Eric and Talia. Dear sister of Lucien (Cathy), Lucienne (Lucien predeceased), Aurore (Laurier), Edouard (Nicole) and predeceased by William, Gerard, Alice, Diane, Lionel, Marcel and Lucille. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews from the Lavoie and Deguire families. Rose married the love of her life Earl Lavoie in 1967 and enjoyed 33 wonderful years together. She loved for her children and grandchildren who were always by her side. Rose adored her grandchildren who were the light of her life and always put them first. She was a proud homemaker always making sure everyone she loves was cared for and felt welcomed. Rose was a devout Catholic who enjoyed going to church and said her prayers every night. She also loved to play Bingo whether it was at the hall or on T.V. Saturday night. She loved flowers, collecting them in bunches and had them all throughout her home. A beautiful smile bright blue eyes, kind and generous, she will be greatly missed. Thank you to all the family, staff from Bayshore and the hospital who’ve helped Rose through her final days.
