I am thinking of Liana and her family with love and am so sorry for the loss of a very dynamic man who raised a wonderful person in Liana and nurtured so many people in this community. Please know thoughts of you are being kept close to heart by so many people who care about you.
I would like to extend my heartfelt sympathies to Joe's family. I was greatly saddened to hear of his passing. Joe was a very special person to us. When Mom (Mummu) couldn't get around anymore, Joe was always there to help her out with that special grin of his. I remember visiting my Mom in the nursing home and found her chuckling, and asked what was so funny, and she said Joe had been there and had told her a funny joke. Hardly a day went by that he didn't drop in to check on her and brighten her day. Many of those days, they would be knitting dishcloths and chatting about Hunter.
He was a very caring person and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Rest in Peace Joe.
May the lord give you the strength to carry on, and the peace of mind to recognize the gift that is his Kingdom. Thank you Joe for so many wonderful memories in the world of teaching. Thank you for modelling how to lead and care genuinely.
After one of Joe's trips from Ireland, he brought back this saying for us...."A friend is like a four leaf clover, hard to find but lucky to have." We were very lucky to have Joe in our lives even though the time was too short. Rest in peace our dear friend. Our deepest condolences to Joe's family.
