Medical Cause of Death
At times family members wish to be told the exact cause of death of the deceased. In order to find this out, a family member must contact the doctor in charge directly. The doctor will discuss this with the family only. Funeral directors, clergy, friends, etc, are not given this information at any time. If you have difficulty finding the doctor in charge, contact the funeral director and he/she will help you. If a coroner has been appointed, he/she becomes the doctor in charge and has the authority to order an autopsy. All information concerning autopsy results are given to the doctor. Autopsy reports are NOT mailed to the family.
Local Coroners are:
Dr. J. Maki - 674-3502
Dr. R.B. Sawkiw - 523-2503
Dr. W.J. McMullen - 671-6418
